THE COTTON HOUSE, SEMINYAK
A striking blue gate gives only a hint of the wonderful oasis that awaits behind it.
Reminiscent of and inspired by the great houses of the Caribbean, "The Cotton House Bali" is a welcome retreat amidst the heat and daily buzz of life in Bali.
Four separate villas make up the plentiful accommodation and well appointed entertaining areas. The villas have been individually styled with an eclectic mix of tribal rugs and artefacts. Walls are adorned with hand painted birds and frangipanis and a mix of modern, Australian and Asian art.
Cool white walls, neutral floors, and high pitched ceilings leave visual space for the four poster birds, wicker lounges and batik cushions. Rattan blinds are paired perfectly with vibrantly coloured curtains.
White painted French doors open out to the meticulously manicured lawn and inviting wet edge swimming pool. The villa boundaries are filled with wonderful mature bamboo clusters and beautiful yellow and pink frangipani trees. Covered walkways with white pillars and bamboo ceilings connect the villas with ease.
"The Cotton House Bali" displays such an exciting mix of cultural and historic styles. It has been impeccably designed with every detail so well considered and deliberate. It really is a wonderful example of how to successfully combine contrasting colours and styles and we have already decided that we never want to leave.
