STONE & WOOD: HOME OF INDEPENDENT AUSTRALIAN BEER
Heard of Stone & Wood? We thought so. A new classic; Stone & Wood really is a strong contender for the drink of the summer. The family-owned business is teaming up with Byron Bay's very own 'The Tasting Room' to create the ultimate brewery experience, and we're so here for it.
If we didn't love them enough already, the Stone & Wood Tasting Room is committed to supporting local fundraisers like the grassroots charity. Inspired by the idea of the ‘village brewery’, every month the Stone & Wood Tasting Room donates $1 per litre of beer sold over the bar via its not-for-profit, the inGrained Foundation. In September, the Tasting Room raised $10,000 for beach clean-up group Clean Coast Collective, and in October raised $8,460 for Bruns Brekkie, a not-for-profit serving breakfast for locals in need. What better excuse to enjoy a nice, cold beer than by supporting a good cause?
So, whether you're looking to book a tour of the brewery or simply kick back in the award-winning Tasting Room and beer garden, there's definitely something worth checking out. From crisp Green Coast Lager to the stone fruit flavours of Cloud Catcher pale ale are perfect for sipping on on a warm, summer afternoon. If you're really looking for the full experience, Stone & Wood is also offering a tasting of one-off Pilot Batch beers, so you can sample your way through a flight of limited releases from the Counter Culture series. If you're looking for some beer education, this is definitely the brewery for you. Stone & Wood is running guided brewery tours and tastings to give visitors a behind-the-scenes look at Stone & Wood’s approach to brewing and conscious business, so you can up beer facts in just 60-90 minutes.
