Q&A with TLSE Social Media Manager, Alex Fox

What about working in social media management most appealed to you?

I’ve always enjoyed working creatively with images. When I was 15 I had quite a few followers on Tumblr where I’d re-share the images I liked at the current time to create a curated feed. Ever since then I’ve really enjoyed making mood boards. Now that I have the knowledge through studying a Masters in Marketing, I’ve been able to put my skills and passion to good use!

How long have you been working for TLSE? Why do you love it?

I’ve been working at TLSE since February. I love coming into such a beautiful space with open-minded lovely people who are always down for a chat.

What are your expert tips for increasing brand awareness on social media?

Understand your target market and use the tone of voice and content they would like to see. Analytics are your best friend!

Top 3 favourite instagram accounts you follow, and what do you love about them?

I love:

@samyoukilis - The perfect mix of travel and small intimate moments of European life curated in Instagram posts.

@ad_spain - I’m obsessed with the architecture in Spain. There’s always something new and unique that I haven’t seen before on this page.

@somewhereiwouldliketolive - The handle says it all. Somewhere I would like to live posts beautiful locations all over the world that are aesthetically pleasing.

Which do you love more: Posts or stories? Why?

Stories. There’s something about just posting something for a period of time that gives you so much more freedom. They also give you space to be creative with tags and text.

Open-minded, hardworking, loyal, fun and creative (I hope!).

Favourite travel destination and why?

My favourite travel destination would have to be Europe. There's really a bit of everything - from drinking a glass of champagne with stunning views of the Seine, eating tapas in an underground bar in Madrid or relaxing in the ocean staring back at the little towns on the Amalfi Coast.

What are your Netflix recommendations?

Obsessed with Killing Eve.

And finally, if you had to choose between giving up chocolate or giving red wine for the rest of your life, which would you pick?

Porque no los dos!!! If I had to pick, it would be giving up red wine, there are still other types of wine I’d be able to drink!
