Q&A with our Founder, Heidi Albertiri
You're our fearless leader. What exactly does your job entail?
Haha. .Thank you, but there is nothing fearless about being a leader, every day for me is making sure I hold myself accountable, checking in with the team to make sure they are doing what they are meant to be doing for clients, making sure I am being fair, inspiring, supporting, growing and looking for areas of opportunity.
It literally doesn’t stop, if I am not putting out fires, its proofreading docs, writing newsletters, looking at strategy and a way for us and the brands we work with.
When did you start TLSE? How did it come about?
TLSE came about after I had finished working at Home Beautiful Magazine. I saw that digital content was now being needed for Instagram and we started shooting with brands and featuring them on our Edit, it just grew bit by bit from there as demand kicked in, we literally added a new staff member who was skilled in a new area every time we needed to, now apparently we are an agency, which I never intended, but that’s what we are.
What is your number one tip for styling the perfect product shot?
Work with a photographer who speaks your language, as a stylist I see things in my minds eye a certain way and often its hard to articulate what I am wanting to do so having someone who gets my crazy talk and can work with me to capture something is pretty awesome.
Other than TLSE, which are your top 3 favourite Instagram accounts, and what do you love about them?
LIM HOTELS everything on this account just speaks to me and has me Greek island dreaming
LUKE AND SASSY SCOTT because at the end of the day I just need a good laugh and this always has me in stitches.
CASTLE AND THINGS What’s not to love about a brand who is constantly nailing it. They get everything right, from imagery to tone of voice to the product, the humour. It’s just fab and makes you want to be a part of it.
Describe yourself in 5 words.
Not everyone’s cup of tea.
You have a week off work. Where do you go and why?
Sunshine and warmth. Because I think better when I have the sun on my skin, when I’m wearing floaty dresses and have a tan!
If you had to give up rosé or champagne, which would it be?
Now that’s just mean, Rosé because I can always have a pink champagne if I need to.
Thanks Heidi.
