HUSK WELCOMES AUTUMN WITH THEIR NEW COLLECTION
As our particularly lack lustre summer has now quietly dissolved into autumn it won't be long until the temperature starts to dip below 20º and we begin layering up. Thankfully, Husk's new autumn collection "Future Retro" has launched and, as it's title suggests, delivers beautifully updated classic feminine styles and offers head to toe outfitting solutions, curated specifically with the client in mind.
“This collection embodies timeless pieces with a twist that look modern and new yet somehow evoke a feeling of the past.” expressed Creative Director, Kirrily Johnston.
The collection encompasses retro transitional pieces with wearable prints made from diaphanous silks, textured knits, luxe leathers and corduroys in warm tones mixed back with rich pops of vibrant colour. A wide variety of structured silhouettes and print offerings make this collection an embodiment of how our fashion expectations and decisions reimagine themselves in time.
Metallic bags and chunky jewellery add an ultra-modern drama to the traditional long dress and puff sleeves. Bold accessories are taking their moment this season styled with statement footwear such as Husk Floret Boots or Husk Libertine Boots.
Critical colours this season focus on purple hues, charming mustards, nudes, navy, and rich greens worn beneath a striking coat that will take you through the years.
‘We continue on our mission to create quality pieces that stand the test of time and with clever styling can be re-imaged in past present and future. Our eponymous collection focuses on natural fibres and we align with brands that share our core values using noble fibres and/or sustainably sourced materials ’ Kirrily Johnston.
Nearing celebrations of 27 successful years in business, Husk’s retail operations have expanded from its first boutique in Malvern Road, Toorak to include fourteen stores in some of Australia’s premier shopping precincts including two in New Zealand.
Husk’s eponymous collection is curated with a selection of key brands, most of which are exclusive to Husk, including Sabina Musayev, Munthe, Le Jean, and Hofmann Copenhagen. This season Husk welcomes By Timo and Alyisi to their coveted brand stable. A continued support of local artisans, unique offerings of homewares and a sensory range – created using unique blends of organic essential oils such as their signature Izmir scent.
Future Retro is available for purchase both online and in-store.
