Our home away from home
Located on South Wharf along one of the cities icons - The Yarra River - Pan Pacific was the perfect place to base the team from for the week; it became our home away from home. Slow starts to our mornings were complimented with ~ delicious ~ buffet breakfasts, and we celebrated the afternoons with complimentary G&T's before heading out to eat amongst Melbourne's renowned foodie scene.
The real feature though, was the view Pan Pacific offers as you look back along the Yarra and into the city. Nothing quite beats watching the sun reflect and bounce off the city's skyscrapers in the morning, as you watch Melbourne CBD come to life from afar. It's almost surreal.

With the Uber of Beauty Services
From the comfort of our room, LUXit Beauty treated Heidi with their beauty concierge services. Dubbed the 'Uber of Beauty Services', LUXit is Australia's only award-winning 100% mobile beauty and wellbeing service. Would we use them again? Absolutely. It's great to know, especially when travelling interstate, that you can easily request a mobile beauty stylist for any occasion. The best part; you can track your stylist right up until they get to your ~ Pan Pacific ~ door.

The laneways of Melbourne
Some of our favourite places; spots to stop and pop your head in, grab a bite to eat, or rest your feet with a wine in hand.

mention goes to:
GIN PALACE
Find them | 10 Russell Pl, Melbourne
"Gin Palace is now 20 years old, and we feel it has reached institution status as being the longest, successfully running Melbourne Laneway Bar. We have opened at 4pm and closed it 3am every day - bar two - every year, where we take the staff away to a secret location to let our hair down.
We have a curated Gin list of over 200 Australian and international Gins. My favourite is one of the fancy Gin and Tonics we have on the list. It’s East London Liquor Company Gin and Bittermilk charred grapefruit syrup served with salted caramel fudge and cardamom.
I’m also a fan of the classics. I like a Ransom Old Tom, which is a meticulously crafted recreation of the original. Stirred down with Maidenii Sweet Vermouth, Marionette Curacao, and I like to add a couple of drops of Butterfly Absinthe."
Gin Palace Managing Director, Ben Luzz.
Cocktails, top to bottom:

FLORENTINO
Find them | 80 Bourke Street, Melbourne
Florentino is one of Melbourne’s most iconic dining venues beginning in 1928 and has influenced the changing hospitality and food culture in Melbourne. In 1999 it became Grossi Florentino after the Grossi family took its reigns. It is known and loved by many who have experienced the untiring hospitality of Grossi Florentino over the last century.
Their food celebrates both Italian and Australian culture, making reference to their past territory and its traditions and to our current territory from which they draw great produce and inspiration. Florentino respects the environment to ensure that the produce and techniques they use are as sustainable as possible. They have strong relationships with their farmer’s and work closely with them to learn about the progressive practices that these craftsmen dedicate so much time to.
