HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SMEG!
Smeg is celebrating 70 years of appliance design and innovation this year and, in line with it's long held reputation as a pioneer in kitchen style, has released two new versions of one of its most iconic appliances.
My first love was a pink Smeg refrigerator. It was true love for many, many years. And now Smeg is tormenting us with some new release colours for their 70th birthday celebrations. The brand’s family-sized FAB50 retro style refrigerator, originally conceived 21 years ago, has continued to win friends and influence people across the globe and, due to popular demand, has been released in Pastel Blue and Red.
Just like the FAB50’s original colours - panna, white and black – the new colours are perfect matches for the brand’s retro small appliances that have become worldwide style icons. The FAB50, with a gross capacity of 467L, is a two-door frost-free refrigerator/freezer, featuring two chiller compartments, adjustable quick- chill crystal glass shelves, and two fruit/vegetable compartments, while the freezer has a manual icemaker and a fast-freeze compartment.
Nothing beats this statement piece in your kitchen, so if you are in the market, stop making excuses. You too will fall in love; it may not be your first true love, but it may well be your last!
Smeg’s matching small appliances include kettles, toasters, blender, coffee machine and stand mixer – all in the same retro styling and identical authentic vintage colours.
