Girl and the Sun adds a touch of warmth to Australia’s Winter with new collection 'Zephyr'
Beautiful, free-flowing dresses aren't just a summer staple thanks to Australian fashion label Girl and the Sun's newest collection Zephyr, reminiscent of a soft, gentle breeze, to add a touch of warmth and comfort to the season.
Born from a feeling of nostalgia and rustic softness, the 40 piece collection is a testament to Girl and the Sun’s commitment to meaningful and intentional design, prioritising pieces that can be taken from an impromptu midday adventure, to cool winter nights by the ocean.
Founder, Managing & Creative Director Zoi Vafias, who has been in the fashion industry for over 16 years, started Girl and the Sun having identified a gap in the market for accessible, destination styles at an affordable price point, and said that the brand’s mission has always been to create pieces that make women feel confident and beautiful. “We are proudly female founded, run and owned, and with a trusted team of women who genuinely wear our product, we are able to utilise a tried and tested understanding of our fabrics and design principles to create pieces that will carry women from year to year, no matter the season,” she said.
“All of our styles are designed in-house in our Brisbane based studio by our designer Melissa Haralampou, with exclusive prints and natural fibres to create wardrobe staples that last a lifetime,” Ms Vafias said.
Taking inspiration from vacations abroad, Girl and the Sun strive to produce quality products with a message of inclusivity and freedom.
The rustic tones of Zephyr are available in sizes XS-XXL from girlandthesun.com now, with select styles stocked in David Jones, Billy J Boutique and Surf Stitch.
