GEORGIE WILSON x GREENHOUSE INTERIORS: NATURAL CONNECTION THROUGH ART
Just over an hours drive south of Melbourne sits the beautiful Mornington Peninsula – a coastal destination for wine lovers and fervent foodies. A mere block from the beach high in the treetops resides landscape artist Georgie Wilson. Juggling her full-time artist role with freelance graphic design, a very busy little family, surfer hubby and Bull Terrier, Sookie, Georgie says she is a Gemini who thrives on chaos.
Georgie's chaos is our gain when you see what she creates in her works and they are just too beautiful not to be shared with you all. Scroll down to be inspired by this colour splash.
With her studio conveniently set up in her home, Georgie’s works are reminiscent of her picturesque surrounds. Both natural and man-made, her paintings often feature wildlife and nods to local architecture.
“I’m inspired by colour, graphic shapes, signs, textures and foliage. There’s inspiration everywhere!”
Vibrant colours, bold shapes and quirky patterns are offset by the recognisable figures of birds, big green strelitzia leaves, palm silhouettes and abstract breezeblocks. Pops of fluoro oranges, lilacs, and corals paired with experimental lines and forms create an aesthetic that is iconically Australian without being overstated.
You can find Georgie Wilson’s works exclusively at Greenhouse Interiors.
