DESIGN MEETS EMOTION: WATTYL 2019 COLOUR PALETTES
We've got some awesome trend news for you with Wattyl’s annual colour forecast for 2019.
The Australian research, conducted by Wattyl, is designed to examine virtually every aspect of your lifestyle and aims to: "create a personal interpretation of a look where design meets emotion and craft."
The research was formed on the basis of the desire for calm, wellness and simplicity in a world where most consumers feel overwhelmed with fast-paced living.
Minimalism truly flourishes through the use of these four new colour palettes for 2019 (in photo order): Well Rounded, Green Scene, Sensory Darks and High Expectations.
WELL ROUNDED
This colour pallete blurs the lines between downtime and worktime to create a harmonious life balance and increased flexibility in our working/leisure ratio.
Simple plains of balanced colour ensure calming, open, androgynous spaces that perform as places for rest, recreation and productivity.
GREEN SCENE
The use of plants in interiors, to both clean the air we breathe and satisfy our
cravings for nature and the outdoors, is now widespread.
As the name suggests, this colour pallete aims to integrate wellness and nature with nature - inspired hues dominated by soft greens for a restful, natural and fresh look in the home.
SENSORY DARKS
These rich, dark hues allow us to disconnect from the outside world and concentrate only on our surroundings. These deep, rich tones of blue and green, touched by glimmers of metallics and mustard, are essential to complement tactile
surfaces and luxurious textures.
HIGH EXPECTATIONS
Many of us crave those highly aesthetic, 'insta worthy' colours such as an evolved
millennial pink matched with ink blue and raspberry accents. This colour pallete
is luxe and tailored, exuding quality and tactile beauty.
The 2019 Colour Palettes are available in Wattyl’s ultra premium
id Interior low VOC paints – Contemporary Matt, Luxury Low Sheen,
Silky Satin and Advanced Low Sheen.
