5 INTERIOR SUMMER TRENDS WE'RE LOVING

Now that we're moving into the summer months, we're thinking about how the warmer months will influence our interiors. We've narrowed down 5 of our favourite interior trends for our summer of 2021 and 2022!

1. LET THERE BE LIGHT

More than any other time of the year, summer signals the opportunity to open up your windows and literally let the warm sunlight in. If you’re lucky enough to have big glass doors or floor to ceiling windows, a length of light sheer curtain will help your home feel that much bigger, filtering in warm light throughout the day. Try and make the most of the longer sunlight days!

2. NATURAL TONES

A trend that's been around for a while now and is definitely here to stay is furniture and accessories in natural finishes such as rattan, bamboo, wicker and cane. This summer, embrace natural finishes to add texture and warmth to your space.

3. SUMMER COLOUR PALETTE

This summer, tones in light, bright sky blue, warm yellows, mustard-y marigold and reds and oranges to mimic the sun will shine bright. The focus is on living large (something we all need right now!) and embracing a life full of colour.

4. DECORATE WITH CHECKS

Checks have become a bit of a thing recently, and this summer they’re not going anywhere. There are a myriad of ways you can use them at home, both big and small. Think placemats (see Bonnie and Neil image for reference!), cushions, artwork and even rugs.

5. CURVY FEATURES

Wavy homewares are having a massive moment. From curry vases, wiggly steel coat-stands, mirrors or furniture legs, there are no straight lines to be found anywhere. It's all about having a little fun decorating and we're definitely complaining!
